The main character is a skilled artist that is caught up in a series murders that took place at Kiersau Abbey over twenty five years. This character is the only one with intelligence and the will to find the culprits. However, each decision he makes has lasting consequences that inexorably draw him towards the center of an ongoing conspiracy.
